History of Town and Country Bank

Town and Country Bank, Stephenville, Texas, is a locally owned and locally managed bank. Chartered by the State of Texas in 1977, the bank opened its doors in March of 1978. And, within three months, a formal ground breaking ceremony took place for the bank's new, permanent building at its current location of 150 North Harbin Drive. By 1985, the bank needed additional space, so a four story addition to the bank building was added to accommodate growth and the demand for office lease space.

Since the time the bank was founded, Jim Chambers has been the president of Town and Country Bank. Today the bank operates in six locations, the original Stephenville headquarters on Harbin Drive, the "Hometown Branch" on Lingleville Road which opened in January of 1996,  the "Glen Rose Branch" which opened in August of 1996, the "Granbury Branch" which opened up in October of 2005, the "Bluff Dale Branch" which opened in August of 2006, and the "Aledo Branch" which opened in October of 2007.  The bank also established a mobile branch called the "Bank Roll" to service depository customers and open accounts. In addition, the bank has expanded beyond traditional commercial and consumer banking to include investment services, mortgage lending, and off-site ATMs.
